This hotel offers a cozy escape with an amazing location right beside the Big Thompson River. The cabins are clean and provide a unique rustic charm, perfect for a peaceful getaway. However, there’s no air conditioning and the Wi-Fi signal is a bit weak, which might not suit everyone’s needs. The owners are incredibly welcoming and the setting is perfect for nature lovers.

We stayed in the Big Horn Sheep Cabin, which was comfortable and clean, even though it lacked air conditioning. The beds were very comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was surprisingly great for a mountain lodge.

Stoney River Lodge is a charming getaway nestled alongside the Big Thompson River. The cabins are cozy and comfortable, making for a great family experience. While there’s no air conditioning, the provided fans and mountain air are quite refreshing. The location requires navigating winding roads, but it’s worth it for its serene connectivity to nature. The Wi-Fi is weak, which might be inconvenient for some, but it allowed me to truly disconnect during my stay.

The Cowboy Room was nicely decorated with a queen bed, a TV, and essential amenities like a mini-fridge and microwave. While the Eagle Room worked well for its size, it had limited TV channels and inconsistent Wi-Fi. Overall, I found the accommodations cozy but not luxurious.

My stay at Stoney River Lodge was truly delightful! The beautiful location by the Big Thompson River adds a magical touch to the experience. The cabins were cozy and comfortable, although a bit lacking in air conditioning during warm days. The owners made our stay even more enjoyable with their genuine hospitality and helpfulness. Overall, it's a fantastic place for a family getaway, but be prepared for some limited Wi-Fi and a winding drive to reach it.

Although the rooms lack air conditioning, they remain cozy, and the price is significantly lower compared to stays in Estes Park. The facilities are charming, though Wi-Fi could be more reliable.
